Fixing the Technology Is Only Part of the Work
Understanding the Business Comes First

Long before technology became my work, I was building computers, experimenting with electronics, and taking devices apart to understand how they worked. That curiosity and need to see the system beneath the surface have stayed with me throughout my career.

Over more than 20 years, I have worked across frontline support, systems engineering, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise operations, M&A integration, and technology leadership.

The most valuable lesson was not about any particular system or platform. Recurring technology problems often reveal something deeper: unclear ownership, weak processes, poorly managed information, or decisions made without enough context.

That is why I built VYINGS.

I wanted growing private businesses to have access to independent advice that connects technical detail with business priorities. I also wanted to provide practical help turning that advice into action.

I work directly with owners and leaders to:

• Understand the real problem before recommending a solution
• Clarify priorities, risks, and ownership
• Design improvements that fit the business
• Coordinate internal teams and external providers
• Document and strengthen how the business operates

Sometimes that means solving an immediate technical issue. Sometimes it means addressing the operating weakness behind it. Often, it requires both.

I am equally comfortable working through technical details, challenging a vendor recommendation, or helping leadership decide what should happen next. My role is to bring clear judgement, practical experience, and an independent perspective without forcing the business into a particular product, platform, or delivery model.

Outside VYINGS, I mentor newcomers to Canada, support nonprofit initiatives, and recharge through hockey, snowboarding, motorsport, golf, and hiking.
